DNA Codon Recognition by a Cubane Wire: In Silico Approach

چکیده

DNA codons, consisting of triplet nucleotides (NTs), could play important roles for RNA transcription and protein translation in living systems. Therefore, their recognition be seen diagnosis therapy purposes. Based on sequence formations Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C) Thymine (T) NTs, 64 codons were investigated this work regarding complexation with a molecular cubane (CUB) wire. To achieve aim, each singular CUB optimized to prepared docking processes complex formations. Hence, complexes codon-CUB docked see the potency wire versus codons. Interestingly, obtained scores indicated that specifically which G-rich A-rich triples more favorable comparison other C-rich T-rich Moreover, results not pure G but GAG codon was most one recognized by However, T worst such The remarkably process from very much specified best among all

Codon Recognition

Isoacceptors of Physarum polycephalum Ala-, Arg-, Glu-, Gln-, Gly-, Ile-, Leu-, Lys-, Ser-, Thr-, and Val-tRNAs were resolved by reverse-phase chromatography and isolated, and their codon recognition properties were determined in a ribosomal binding assay. Codon assignments were made to most isoacceptors, and they are summarized along with those determined in other studies from Escherichia coli...

A mechanism for stop codon recognition by the ribosome: a bioinformatic approach.

Protein synthesis in ribosomes requires two kinds of tRNAs: initiation and elongation. The former initiates the process (formylmethionine tRNA in prokaryotes and special methionine tRNA in eukaryotes). The latter participates in the synthesis proper, recognizing the sense codons. Synthesis is also assisted by special proteins: initiation, elongation, and termination factors. The termination fac...

Codon distributions in DNA.

The codons, 64 in number, are distributed over the coding parts of DNA sequences. The distribution function is the plot of frequency versus rank of the codons. These distributions are characterized by parameters that are almost universal, i.e., gene independent. There is but a small part that depends on the gene. We present the theory to calculate the universal (gene-independent) part. The part...

Codon-acticodon recognition in the valine codon family.

An in vitro protein-synthesizing system completely dependent on added valine tRNA (valyl-tRNAval) and programmed with RNA from the phage MS2 has been used to investigate the incorporation into MS2 coat protein of valine from isoaccepting valyl-tRNAsval with the anticodons U AC (U represents 5-oxyacetic acid uridine monophosphate), GAC, and IAC in response to the four valine codons GUU, GUC, GUA...
